Frustration mounted quickly during the upwind, up-island leg last night as the 22-24 group rode 21 instead. So, I turned at the bridge and paced home with Louis from the A group, who'd had a flat and was anxious to get back before the rain set in. We averaged about 25, but my trip was a shameful 22.85 miles per hour. Better luck next time.
